I think a lot of people focus more on finding distraction, excitement, and new things when sometimes you have to go through the work in the slow, dull times. I used to always look at monks, and those weird people who meditate for years, or the people who live secluded in forests and prairies in cabins and mountains in awe, because they could dedicate their lives to something for years. What have I ever aspired for, and constantly worked on for more than even a year? It just seems like if anyone actually deserves these things, it would be the people striving towards it.
I think boredom is where you should be able to find your best ideas. I don’t like feeling that I must do something when I’m bored, when in that time I should be most productive. Why try to look for meaningless time-passers to make it seem like I didn’t waste a weekend? Why not just stay in my room and write, read, draw, and just take everything in? Or is it just me that would rather watch everyone else squirm and run to find something to do? Probably. Feedback?
FOT of course. I like the part in the song that sounds like a video game. It reminds me of Treasure Planet, and that cartoon movie is a really REALLY cool past time for me. That’s what I’m listening to right now.
The older I get the more I see how important it is to keep an open mind, and the older I grow the more I see exactly how hard it is to keep an open mind. I talk to my parents, and just older people in general, and it’s almost as if they’re stuck to their opinions, and have reached a whole new level of hard headed-ness. That’s not even a word, but you catch my drift. Rarely do I come across an older individual who seems like they second guess themselves, and really actually listen to opinions that stray from their own. I talk to my parents, and I try to open their minds to different opinions, and it’s almost as if they’re not listening at all. Same thing with my neighbor, and some other older people I talk to.
“As if to, annoy you, on purpose just cause’ I can!”
Panic Attack just came on. I like this song too, I only honestly like 5 or 6 songs from “In The Unlikely Event”. Props for going in a new direction, though.
